Ultraviolet Sterilizers

Ultraviolet Sterilizers are used in a wide variety of applications. In the aquarium industry they are used for water clarification (Algae control) and parasite control. UV sterilizers operate by passing water through a chamber where UV light is exposed to the organisms in the water, which in turn kills them.

UV sterilizers are commonly used on Fish only systems, ponds, and fresh water planted aquariums. They can also be used in Reef systems, but there is much debate on the Pro's and Con's of this application.
